WWE: Major title change on first Friday night SmackDown
UFC rival Cain Velasquez on a stunning Friday night introduction of SmackDown won the name from Kofi Kingston and immediately attacked brock Lesnar.
WWEs blue new made their mark at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
In its main event, Lesnar took less than 10 seconds to defeat Kingston, dropping the winner with one F5 before pinning him to secure the gold.
Rey Mysterios music began but the man who had been attacked by Lesnar a week had a backup in the form of Velasquez, who obtained the UFC heavyweight title from Lesnar Since Lesnar celebrated.
Velasquez shot Lesnar down and rained punches on the newly-crowned Universal champion, who beat a hasty retreat with his urge Paul Heyman as the show went off the air.
Shane McMahon fired from WWE
A ladder game between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens, where both mens WWE careers had been on the line finished with McMahon defeated and his employment terminated.
As was somewhat predictable to get a game between two men because their own physical security is rarely a concern, there have been ladder and table areas which had the crowd wincing.
The chaos came to a decision when Owens chose McMahon up off a ladder and powerbombed him before climbing the ladder to maintain the briefcase and give the bosss kid his marching orders.
The Rock returns – to Corbins dismay
SmackDown opened with Becky Lynch disrupted by Baron Corbin, that was subsequently interrupted by a Rock that was returning, in red-hot fashion.
The coming of thiselectrifying man in sports entertainment took the roof and his arrival was followed by him with a Peoples Elbow and Rock Bottom around Corbin.
Rocky then toasted Lynch, who went on to associate with Charlotte Flair to pick up a win over her Hell.
