WBSS final: Josh Taylor vows to prove he is best in world vs Regis Prograis

Josh Taylor believes he’ll prove he’s the greatest 140lbs fighter on the planet by beating Regis Prograis in London.
Taylor faces fellow world winner Prograis at the final of the World Boxing Super Series final in The O2 on October 26, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
‚The Tartan Tornado’ will place his IBF belt at stake, while fellow southpaw Prograis risks his WBA’Super’ and WBC Diamond belts in an effort to get the coveted Muhammad Ali Trophy.
„I’m looking ahead. First time here fighting here headlining in The O2, therefore I excited for it. I can’t wait,” explained Taylor (15-0, KOs 12).
„I’m completely confident in the fight. I think I’m bigger than him, more powerful than himquicker than him and that I punch equally as tough as him, so I believe I can beat on him in each section.
„If he comes to walk me down, I believe I will walk him right into a shooter and then get him out of there. If not, he can be outboxed by me for the entire 12 rounds, which I am fully confident I will win this battle either way it moves.
„I think Regis and myself are # 1 No 2 in the branch and we are the two men to beat and we’re going to prove it on October 26.
„This is my moment to shine and that I can’t see him beating at all. I’m super certain.”
Since turning pro in 2012, new Orleans-born Prograis, who has racked up 20 inside the space, 24 straight wins, is made to grab the opportunity to compose his name.
„Most boxers don’t get this opportunity in a life and we’re getting this opportunity at the moment. You’ve got four items on the line; WBA, the name, his name, IBF, the Ali Trophy as well as The Ring Magazine title, this is on the line.
„I had a late start but a good deal of fighters have been fighting 20, 30 years and never get this opportunity, therefore for me it is like a chance of a lifetime. That is my own legacy, this is history at the moment and to be doing it I am ecstatic, I can not wait.
„No 1 and No 2, you don’t get this, two undefeated fighters in their prime that are winners. This is a series that is enormous and I’m excited to be part of it.
„He’s taller than me, he is longer than me, however, for me, none of the stuff things. I cannot see ways to beat me. Not to be cocky or arrogant but I can’t see how he could defeat me.”
