A 2-0 lead threw away at Watford as Quique Sanchez Flores’ side got a draw in the first game of the next spell.
A generally expert finish from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had Arsenal ahead (21) even though Watford’s calls for a foul in the build-up, and the Gabon striker made it 2-0 soon after having an easy finish in a nice Gunners movement (32).
Watford halved the deficit just following the break during Tom Cleverley since Sokratis was captured playing out from the trunk (53), and Arsenal shot in the foot as David Luiz tripped sub Roberto Pereyra in the region, and he dispatched the punishment (81).
Watford must have won it at a final 15 minutes, but also the exhilarating affair ended level, which means Arsenal remain seventh about eight points from five matches, while Watford stay bottom but using their confidence back.
Although Arsenal looked clinical they faced 31 shots in their goal, the most they’ve ever faced in a Premier League fixture since Opta started collecting such information in the division in 2003/04.
Following a good reception for coming back manager Quique, Watford were in addition to the first stages, moving closest through Tom Cleverley’s long-time effort by Bernd Leno, since Arsenal fought to get tight.
However, the lead was taken by the Gunners . Watford pleaded since Dani Ceballos robbed Will Hughes on halfway to get a free-kick, but play continued as Sead Kolasinac fed. VAR Daniel Cook briefly looked, but was happy with the first choice.
As Mesut Ozil, playing his first minutes this year cooked Ainsley Maitland-Niles in-behind the defence to the right of this box, it was 11 minutes after, along with his centre was for Aubameyang to come residence easy. Though the striker took the glory, both Maitland-Niles’ run and Ozil’s area were remarkable.
Arsenal did not learn their lesson. Sokratis’ forward pass from six yards out following a Leno target kick was intercepted by Gerard Deulofeu, and the ball fell for Cleverley to sweep home. Replays showed when the goal-kick was shot Deulofeu was at the box, but the goal came.
Watford subsequently had their tails up, peppering Leno’s target from all angles, even as Arsenal brought on Lucas Torreira, Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock in an attempt to shut down the competition for both Matteo Guendouzi, Mesut Ozil and Dani Ceballos.
Watford sub Ismaila Sarr went as he turned with his back to target following Deulofeu pass dragging broad, but they have.
The Brazilian was outdone by Pereyra’s tricky feed only inside the box, and it was the Argentine himself that divides off himself left corner.
The roof could have lifted off Vicarage Road’d Deulofeu never missed the far post by inches just minutes afterwards, or had Leno not spared from Abdoulaye Doucoure in point-blank range, but it somehow ended flat despite the chaos of the’you have a move, we have a go’ final 15 minutes.
