Sadio Mane says Liverpool must improve against Leicester
Liverpool forwards Sadio Mane admits his side cannot afford to be 100 per cent against Leicester otherwise an Jamie Vardy will require advantage.
The Reds were uncharacteristically lax in allowing a three-goal lead slip against Red Bull Salzburg at the Champions League before finally prevailing 4-3 on Wednesday.
As losing to Real Madrid at the 2018 closing that Liverpool had conceded more than two goals in a game it was the second time and Mane stated they have to become tighter at Anfield on Saturday.
I think if we want to win we have to perform better because we understand Leicester, particularly this season they are extremely strong and an excellent team, he explained.
For sure we will hear from it (the Salzburg sport ) and be prepared for Saturday, that is going to be a huge game for us. Its a lesson for everybody to be on our toes.
I think they began the season very well and therefore are a very good team and if we would like to beat them we have to be 100 percent ready.
Vardy already has more than Mane five Premier League goals and three behind leader Sergio Aguero of both Manchester City and has returned to form this year.
The Leicester striker has a liking for Liverpool, with scored seven days in his last seven appearances against them, even though he has drawn a blank in the past two.
Vardy always scores therefore we have to make sure this match he wont score and we try to have our opportunities – which will be the key, added Mane.
