Sadio Mane says Liverpool must improve against Leicester
Liverpool forwards Sadio Mane admits his side cant afford to be less than 100 per cent against Leicester differently complete advantage will be taken by an in-form Jamie Vardy.
The Reds were uncharacteristically lax before eventually prevailing in letting a three-goal lead slip against Red Bull Salzburg at the Champions League.
As losing to Real Madrid from the 2018 closing that Liverpool had surrendered more than two goals in a 26, it was only the second time and Mane said they must be tighter at Anfield on Saturday.
I believe if we wish to win we must perform better because we know Leicester, particularly this season they are very strong and an excellent team, he explained.
To be sure we are going to learn from it (that the Salzburg sport ) and be prepared for Saturday, that is going to be a massive game for us. It is a lesson for us to be in the match on our feet.
I believe they started the season very well and therefore are a really good team and if we want to overcome them we need to be 100 per cent ready.
Vardy has returned to form this year and has just more than Mane, five Premier League goals and three supporting chief Sergio Aguero of Manchester City.
The Leicester striker has a liking for Liverpool, although he has drawn a blank in the previous two with scored seven times in his last seven appearances against them.
Vardy consistently scores so we must ensure this match he wont score and we try to take all our chances – that will be the main, additional Mane.
