New Zealand back-row forward Luke Jacobson has been ruled out of this World Cup because of concussion.
Jacobson played Tonga a week and went with the group for the championship in Japan, but the Blacks stated the 22-year-old had endured a”delayed start of concussion”.
New Zealand Coach Steve Hansen said this week the participant showed symptoms.
Shannon Frizell will, replaces jacobson, who has two caps.
„After discussing this most recent episode with Luke, in addition to our health care team, the decision was made to, sadly, draw him from the tournament,” Hansen told the All Blacks site.
„All of us felt the ideal thing for him to do so is to take a break from rugby until he is symptom-free and ready to return”
