Pick Six: Controversial calls, big-name injuries and the embarrassing Dolphins

It was a night of high drama at the NFL as the Week Two actions had a playoff-intensity feel to proceedings.
We had touchdowns to win matches, a massive back and forth in Denver, important traumas and yet another officiating blunder.
That’s where I’ll start my look at six talking points from Week Two.
The referees allow the New Orleans Saints right down major time in the NFC Championship Game last season, failing to see an obvious pass interference call that could have sent Sean Payton’s men to the Super Bowl rather than the Los Angeles Rams. Surprisingly, the officials left another blunder in a Saints-Rams match on Sunday night.

Payton must be with all an officiating blunders plaguing his team. The Saints never really did find the end zone after that the Rams ran out winners. However, that margin of victory shouldn’t detract from these shocking refereeing.
One large reason the Saints needed that touchdown was since celebrity quarterback Drew Brees was sidelined after damaging his hand follow .
This was shown to be a massive loss as stand-in Teddy Bridgewater – a former Pro Bowler who has fought back from a catastrophic injury of his own – seemed rusty and out of his depth.
It does not seem great for Brees making a return to the and it could be the outcome in Pittsburgh in which Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger abandoned his team loss using a knee injury.
Big Ben includes an MRI to assess the extent of the harm on Monday. As these are two enormous injury situations worth watching stay tuned.
In the past several decades, shaky and slow begins have been made by the New England Patriots . And for the last three decades, each season has been finished by them in the Super Bowl. We can keep the ink in our pens now round though because no talk of a beginning is necessary.
In 43-0 and 33-3 wins over Pittsburgh and Miami the Patriots have scored 76 points. That’s tied with the 2007 squad that won each of 16 regular-season games before losing in the Super Bowl.
We do not understand Antonio Brown will be on the subject with this group but they do need him. They’ll roll together with or without him – Tom Brady looks in form that is sublime, the racing game is powerful and the shield is one of the finest in the league, particularly against the pass.
It is the Patriots and the Chiefs in the AFC this year.
I don’t care what the strategy is in Miami – that they expect any enthusiasts to switch up to their matches and cannot put that product in the field every week. How decent money can be charged by them for your tosh every week, they’re currently serving up is beyond me.
Miami lost 59-10 to Baltimore on opening weekend at home and there was lots of discussion better in Week 2. Well, I guess 43-0 is better compared to 59-10, but only just! The cupboard is bare in Miami that these Dolphins create Old Mother Hubbard look as a denizen of gluttony and excess.
I believe it is shocking just how bad this group appears but perhaps we should have seen it coming. The Dolphins did sign the players from the NFL and over 25 percent of their roster was not even on the group a week before this year kickoff.
It will be a bad year in Miami. Through two games, the Dolphins have let 102 points – which is tied with the 1973 Saints.
The Oakland Raiders and Kansas City flew around the area and playing with Amazing strength at the start of Sunday’s AFC West showdown. And that urgency led to Black and the Silver to an early 10-0 lead. But they did was create Patrick Mahomes crazy.
He threw for 278 yards and four touchdowns in the second quarter and that was sufficient to secure a comfortable 28-10 win to the Chiefs. Mahomes – that ended the day with 443 yards – is the one true threat to the Patriots and Brady and really special.
The Chiefs are not any injured wide receiver Tyreek Hill but it doesn’t matter. Mahomes makes his receivers look great. It was this time he destroyed the Raiders with Travis Kelce, DeMarcus Robinson and rookie Mecole Hardman and Sammy Watkins.
That is what the amazing ones do they make everybody around them increase their game. The Chiefs are going to be there or thereabouts come the season’s end , supplying Mahomes stays healthy.
The first 55 minutes of the competition between the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos has been a snoozer in Mile High Stadium. But we have to witness one of the very volatile and sensational endings lately league history.
Denver pulled to within 13-12 on the seven-yard pass of Joe Flacco with 31 seconds remaining to Emmanuel Sanders. Choose 2 and the Broncos decided to roll the dice to get involved with a delay of game penalty. So Denver opted for the stage, which Brandon McManus pushed wide . However Denver was transferred by a punishment against the Bears back closer and they proceeded into a lead on Flacco’s pass to Sanders.
But there was sufficient time for Mitchell Trubisky to induce downfield and to allow the Bears to complete a pass on upside down. That setup Eddie Pineiro’s game-winning 53-yard kick as time expired. Just in the NFL!
It was redemption of types for the Bears, who went through kicker angst at the back end of last season and all through the summer. However, this triumph should not detract by Mitchell Trubisky from your 2nd straight showing at quarterback.
