Jofra Archer cut from 50/1 into 16/1 to win SPOTY 2019
England seamer Jofra Archer had needed his odds on winning Sports Personality of the Year 2019 slashed, after having a hot start to his maiden Ashes appearance.
The 24-year-old was the catalyst at unsettling Steve Smith in Lords and has been on the receiving end of some spate of stakes.
Archer has been cut to acquire the prize, into as short as 16/1, all of the way .
That is because of a flurry of bets throughout the last week, with 54 percent of all bets in the marketplace funding the bowler.
Observing the Cricket World Cup, the England group has dominated the SPOTY market, with the following Super Over hero in the shape of Ben Stokes remaining favourite at 11/8.
In turn, Stokes has leapt above previous favorites for SPOTY, Lewis Hamilton (7/1) and Raheem Sterling (11/1) at the top of the market.
