Jamie Joseph backs Japan’s Yusuke Kizu over ‚illegal’ Ireland scrum claim

Promises have been supported by japan head coach Jamie Joseph from prop Yusuke Kizu which Ireland scrummage in advance of their World Cup Pool A game in Shizuoka on Saturday.
Kizu has promised that Ireland prop Cian Healy”steps out” and scrummages in at illegal angle.
Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt insisted as he responded to the claim of Kizu that his side have one of the scrums from the Test arena.
However, after Japan had named their group, which saw group captain Michael Leitch’s demotion to the seat, Brave Blossoms manager Joseph consented that”occasionally they’re illegal” from the scrum.
„I believe first thing, Kizu is a young man, probably his first media experience, so that would be the very first thing about Kizusan,” explained Joseph.
„We’re coming up from a very powerful scrum. Yes, occasionally they are illegal, but they are a really strong scrum.
„We know that is a difficult part of the sport, but we have actually improved our scrum and lineout lately and it is an area we have been focusing on weekly .”
Hosts Japan beat Russia 30-10 in Tokyo on Friday to kick-off the very first World Cup in Asia however, the players announced that they were overawed by the occasion in a performance that is mostly uninspiring.

Joseph is currently targeting a spot in the quarter-finals of the World Cup for the very first time as part of Japan’s legacy hosting the championship.
