Eben Etzebeth accused of physical and racial abuse in South Africa
The South African Rugby Union has begun a confidentialinternal process with Springboks lock Eben Etzebeth over allegations he and racially abused a person in South Africa prior to the Rugby World Cup.
SA Rugbys statement comes a day after the South African Human Rights Commission announced it would take Etzebeth into a prestige court on Friday. Etzebeth has denied any attack or abuse.
SA Rugby havent confirmed if Etzebeth would still play in a World Cup game on Friday, the day the Human Rights Commission says it will begin court proceeding against him.
The indications are that Etzebeth remain and will perform at the championship in Japan.
When Etzebeth was in a bar with family and friends , the case relates to your night out in the coastal city of Langebaan in August.
Hes been accused of racially abusing and attacking a person, who complained to the Human Rights Commission.
SA Rugby states it has been in communicating with the Human Rights Commission and hasinstituted an internal process to tackle the issue, the particulars of which stay an employment matter between SA Rugby and the player.
