Chris Silverwood favourite to take over as England head coach

England are close to appointing a new head trainer the present favourite for the job.
Silverwood, whos currently Englands bowling coach, has been interviewed for the job and talks over the appointment have been taking place this weekend, Sky Sports News understands.
Hes presently set to substitute Trevor Bayliss, that left after four years in charge a month as head coach, and an announcement could be made as early as a week.
Gary Kirsten, South Africa trainer and the India, can be understood to have been contested by the ECB.
Silverwood is familiar with this England setup having worked under Bayliss, also won both branches of the County Championship while.
The 44-year-old, that was a pace bowler using Yorkshire, performed six Tests and seven one-day internationals for England between 1996 and 2002.
He is now set to become only the second Englishman to coach the national group on a fulltime foundation since 1999.
