BIG MARLEY’S UFC FIGHT NIGHT 133 DRAFT KINGS FANTASY BREAKDOWN
This week, we’ve got a 13-fight card at Boise, Idaho. It’s headlined by Junior Dos Santos vs Blagoy Ivanov, who is making his UFC debut. DraftKings has smaller contests for this card since it is just a Fight Night card using lesser known name, but there is still well over $100k to be obtained. I will be pursuing my fair share of that money and I trust you guys will be too. Listed below are a couple plays I like this weekend along with my fade of this week.
Money Game play of this week — Alexander Volkanovski ($9,200)
I believe Volkanovski is the”safest” play on this card and his -300 gaming lineup would concur with me. That is where I’ll be starting my lineup this week and I will figure the rest out from there. Volkanovski averages 116.5 DK points during his first four UFC fights therefore he has a ton of upside as well. He could possible score more than two winners with this particular card combined. I do think he’s in drama for GPPs as well for this reason, but he will likely be the most peculiar owned fighter on the card and we do not care about possession as much in cash games. I’d suggest paying up for the expensive cost in your cash games and I then look for at least 3 others wins you’re confident in.
GPP play of the week — Junior Dos Santos ($8,700)
JDS should function as way better striker in this struggle and I think this is where the battle will occur. He can get KO’d at the opening minutes of this fight and score 0 points, but that is what makes him a GPP play in lieu of a money game play. With both of these Heavyweights, we need to likely see a KO within the 25-minues and that I think the former champion, JDS, are the one to receive it. He’s got great takedown defense so he ought to be able to keep this battle on the toes where he will have a 4-inch reach advantage to use.
Underdog drama of the week — Niko Price ($7,900)
Niko will be my underdog drama of the week. The odds indicate that the fight should be fairly close and there’s a great chance he utilizes his wrestling to obtain the advantage. In 5 fights that he hasn’t seen a decision yet, and there is a possibility it remains that way if he receives Brown into the floor. Niko includes some slick entrances in his arsenal and a lot of heart. On the toes, Brown probably has the advantage with his reach, but Price does have some sneaky power also, which can not be overlooked. Overall, I enjoy this as a GPP play.
Fade of this week — Alejandro Perez ($9,100)
Perez is the 2nd most expensive fighter on this card and he is only $100 cheaper than Volkanovski. In my opinion, Perez will require a finish to have a shot at paying off that pricey salary and I don’t want to invest in that, personally. He’s never landed greater than 1 takedown in a fight and Wineland has excellent takedown defense, therefore we must see this fight take place on the feet. I believe Perez needs to be the person to get his hand raised in the conclusion but I think it’s going to be via decision. If that is the case then he can score ~60 points in a win, and also at $9.1k that is not likely to win anyone a championship. I will be full fading Perez this week and hoping he does not get the end and he’s my official fade of the week.
