Brown later sent an email to ESPN stating:”Regardless of how I play with later they accepted that and left my contract to week.”
In addition, he published a video on YouTube that comprised audio of a telephone talk with coach Jon Gruden from an unspecified date, where Gruden inquires Brown if he wants to become a Raider.
Brown answered that he can and queries if the Raiders want him, with Gruden then urging Brown to prevent all the theatrics, saying:”Only play soccer. How difficult is that? You’re a great football player. Simply play football.”
The video ends with Brown stating:”I am more than only a football player, guy. I am a person. It ain’t about the soccer. I understand I can do this. I show you guys that on the daily. This is my own life. Ain’t no more games.”
