Florida Atlantic Owls men’s basketball
Florida Atlantic University Football started play in the 1988–89 season. The Owls competed as an NCAA Division II separate until the 1993–94 season, when they transferred to Division I along with the Atlantic Sun Conference. After spending 11 seasons at the Atlantic Sun, the Owls transferred to the Sun Belt Conference, with the Remainder of Florida Atlantic University’s intercollegiate sports clubs. The Owls transferred to Conference USA July, 2013.
The Florida Atlantic Owls men’s basketball team reflects Florida Atlantic University and competes in Conference USA of NCAA Division I college basketball. Their home games are played with the FAU Arena on the school’s Boca Raton, Florida campus. Their head coach is Dusty May, that was hired on March 22, 2018. The Owls have appeared in the NCAA Tournament one time, in 2002 while a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Owls joined Conference USA at 2013 as part of the NCAA conference realignment.
