John Fox believes Bears had NFL’s worst offseason

The Chicago Bears won their first division title but one former coach believes they had the offseason from the total NFL.
John Fox, who coached the Bears to three last-place finishes from 2015-2017, was asked on ESPN’s NFL Live on Monday which group had the worst offseason. His choice was his former team.
„I believe when you are planning to play defense, you’re going to lean on takeaways to aid a young offense, and you don’t have a kicker, a trusted kicker, which you are likely to need those points from after a number of those turnovers,” Fox stated, via the Chicago Sun-Times. „I feel the kicking question is truly big right now in Chicago. And I think that might be an issue for them in the season.”

It is fine for Fox to have his own opinion on the Bears, even though others disagree. After all, a TV system employed him to present his view. The ex-coach’s reasoning is the intriguing part.
Bears fans will point out that it was beneath Fox’s watch that the group cut Robbie Gould, Chicago’s all-time leader in points, before the 2016 season. It’s correct that Gould had struggled the previous couple seasons, but Fox and the rest of the brass weren’t eager to give the veteran the benefit of the doubt. Since then the Bears’ position that is kicking has been a turnstile of calamity. This offseason Chicago has pined for Gould’s return.
In Fox season, Chicago used Connor Barth three kickers, Cairo Santos and Mike Nugent. Ahead of the finished his battles in 15, cody Parkey lasted only one year. Now the Bears are down as training camp approaches, to Eddy Pi??eiro 2 kickers and Elliott Fry.
There are loads of things to concern yourself with the Bears on this offseason, such as losing defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, swapping in Ha Ha Clinton-Dix for Adrian Amos, how Mitchell Trubisky will enhance in Year two underneath Matt Nagy, also, of course, the kicker conundrum. The former coach singling out the kicker scenario is intriguing, particularly at a position which may be ironed out to the fly. Fox’s comments will help amplify the pressure that kicker will be below whenever the Bears ultimately land on a new booter.
