Los Angeles Rams sign Jared Goff to record $110m guaranteed extension
Jared Goff has agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Rams throughout the 2024 year using $110m.
The 24-year-old is beginning his fourth season with the Rams, that left him No 1 overall choice from the 2016 draft. After a rocky beginning for a rookie through the Rams’ relocation season, Goff has come to be a two-time Pro Bowl choice under head coach McVay over the last two decades.
Goff has thrown for 8,492 metres with 60 touchdowns and 19 interceptions while moving 24-7 in 31 regular-season matches as McVay’s starter. He has led the Rams to back NFC West titles and their first Super Bowl appearance in 17 years, getting the very first No 1 pick to quarterback his team into a Super Bowl.
Last winter he led the Rams, but he fought in the Super Bowl along with his team-mates, going 19 of 38 for 229 yards with one interception at Los Angeles’ 13-3 loss.
Goff has experienced games of brilliance during his two seasons together with McVay, including a , five-touchdown performance against Minnesota along with also a four-TD attempt in LA’s unforgettable Monday night victory over Kansas City.
He had a few tough games down the stretch last time although the Rams coasted toward the match, but picked up his production against New Orleans.
The Rams have tied the most crucial elements of their NFC-winning core up over the past year. Running back receiver , defensive lineman Aaron Donald and Todd Gurley Brandin Cooks agreed to profitable deals whereas McVay and general director Les Snead both agreed to host extensions less than two months past.
All six men are all tied to Los Angeles through the 2023 season. The pieces are in place for the Rams to be a competition next year when they open their palatial arena complex in Inglewood.
The season opens at Carolina on Sunday.
