New Zealand back-row ahead Luke Jacobson has been ruled out of the World Cup due to concussion.
Jacobson played Tonga last week and went with the group for the championship in Japan, but the Blacks said the 22-year-old had endured a”delayed onset of concussion”.
New Zealand Coach Steve Hansen reported this week, the participant showed symptoms.
Shannon Frizell will, replaces jacobson, who has two caps.
„After discussing this newest episode with Luke, as well as our healthcare staff, the conclusion has been made to, sadly, withdraw him from the championship,” Hansen informed the All Blacks website.
„All of us felt that the best thing for him to do so would be to have a break from rugby until he’s symptom-free and ready to return”
