Stuart Broad gets Steve Smith cheaply and David Warner for seventh time in Ashes series

As England reduced Australia in tea in their push to get a series-levelling victory on day four of the fifth Test at The Oval into 167-5 steve Smith failed to maneuver for the very first time from the Ashes this summer.

Smith clipped Ben Stokes in leg slip and Stuart Broad together to leave for 23, with made 80 and 144, 142, 92, 211, 82 within his six Test innings.
Mitch Marsh (24) also fell in the day, flicking Joe Root to brief leg having appreciated lifelines on six and 13, firstly when he was captured off a Chris Woakes no chunk and after when Rory Burns shelled at gully – Marsh’s wicket finish a fifth-wicket alliance of 63 using Matthew Wade (60no).

But the stubborn Wade – who smashed Leach for three bounds in a row one over prior to finishing a 65-ball fifth Evaluation fifty – and skipper Tim Paine (10no) could help Australia take the match into Monday.
Leach (9) and also Jofra Archer (3) dropped inside 20 minutes in the morning following England declared on 313-8 – Broad (12no off two chunks ) smiting Pat Cummins for two sixes after Archer was out caught behind off Cummins on inspection and earlier Leach top-edged Nathan Lyon (4-69) to mid-on.
